I remember the first day I brought Noah to Applied Scholastics Hollywood. He was extremely nervous. He begged me not to bring him because he knew he was going to fail on the assessment, since he couldn’t read. Noah cried and was terrified of failing again. Thanks to Sergio, Noah began to relax and feel comfortable to take the assessment.
We then met Vicki, who started helping Noah with his reading. I knew my son needed the extra help we just didn’t know where to start. From the second day, I knew that Applied Scholastics Hollywood was going to be very helpful when Noah was excited to come for tutoring. In the second week, I was reading something on social media to Noah when he asked me to let him read it. I almost cried. He had always been afraid and frustrated when we ask him to read for us.
Noah has started reading street signs and billboards while I drive. It brought so much happiness. I know my son could do it. He just needed the right kind of help. He now wants to read everything!
